Rachel Vincent has been living in Nicaragua for over ten years and has accumulated just as many years of experience in international cooperation. Her most recent (and very busy!) assignment involved supporting the organizational development of our partner Tierra y Vida.

« I’ve gained humility, that’s for sure! That’s what happens when you immerse yourself in an environment that is so unfamiliar. You realize that Canada is just a small cocoon on our planet. It forces you to open up to the world. You think you know much more than you actually do, and in the end, you realize you know nothing! »
Rachel Vincent est établie depuis plus de dix ans au Nicaragua et cumule autant d’années d’expérience en coopération internationale. Son dernier mandat (fort occupé !) consistait à accompagner le développement organisationnel de notre partenaire Tierra y Vida.

« J’ai pris en humilité, ça, c’est certain! C’est ce qui se produit lorsqu’on s’immerge dans un environnement si peu familier. On se rend compte que le Canada n’est qu’un petit cocon sur notre globe terrestre. Ça force une ouverture vers le monde. Tu penses que tu en sais beaucoup plus que ce que tu penses, et finalement, tu réalises que tu ne sais rien! »
