Éducation internationale is a Quebec-based non-profit cooperative, founded in 2001, that brings together, supports, and represents Quebec school service centers in their initiatives related to the internationalization of education.
Mandated by the Quebec Ministry of Education (MEQ), it coordinates the international activities of the Quebec school network and administers several student and teacher mobility programs for its member institutions.
Beyond its representative role, Éducation internationale is also an actor in international cooperation, promoting Quebec expertise in education to support and assist major projects abroad.
For over 25 years, the organization has been recognized as a reference in the internationalization of education in Quebec, leveraging expertise, innovation, and collaboration to improve access, quality, and equity in education worldwide.

We are recognized for our expertise in leveraging Quebec know-how to support governments, local institutions, and technical partners in the sustainable improvement of their education systems.
Our Approach
We place capacity-building at the heart of our projects, focusing on:
- co-construction with local stakeholders;
- transfer of expertise in education system management, pedagogy, assessment, and governance;
- improvement of learning environments through initiatives tailored to local realities;
- integration of gender equality, inclusion, and skills development.
Our interventions contribute to supporting the educational success of vulnerable populations and fostering more equitable and resilient learning environments.
Éducation internationale’s international development projects have supported over 1 million learners over the years, through initiatives funded notably by Global Affairs Canada and carried out in collaboration with a wide network of international partners.

For over 20 years, Éducation internationale has contributed to the sustainable strengthening of education systems in multiple regions of the world through major projects in basic education and vocational training. Our Approach

Our Expanded Fields of Intervention
In addition to our work in education, we also lead projects in key areas:
Gender Equality: many of our initiatives address systemic barriers faced by girls and women, particularly in education, health, and access to information.(e.g., training education leaders, combating gender-based violence, menstrual hygiene management)
Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR): through projects like PASSAGE in Côte d’Ivoire, we help improve access to sexual and reproductive education, gender-sensitive health services, and school environments that promote health.
Environment and Sustainability: our projects integrate cross-cutting themes related to environmental sustainability, notably in initiatives funded by Global Affairs Canada, where the environment is recognized as a significant cross-cutting objective.
A Large-Scale Impact
Our projects have supported over 1 million learners, in collaboration with international partners and donors such as Global Affairs Canada.
